potential innovations is a new company exploring solutions to help young people reach their full potential.
who we are.
Potential Innovations aims to research and develop new technologies to help young people become more independent.
We believe the goal of any new technology should be to help people of all different backgrounds reach their full potential. This belief is a key motivator for our work and helps us to align our mission and goals.
It’s also why we’re committed to using 15% of our profits to fund charities related to young people and those with special needs.
what we do.
Our operations are primarily concentrated on the development of in-house applications for the benefit of young people, particularly those with special needs. We also offer consultancy to help organisations develop, deliver and improve systems and services for young people – with a focus on positive use of technology.
Potential Innovations is the company behind blueplan, the guided decision making app for safer travel. Blueplan facilitates the development of good planning skills for young people making their own journey plans – local and further afield – in a way that will allow parents to review their itineraries and reduce anxiety on both sides.
The software is impartial and serves as a framework for good basic structured planning. This approach is intended to reduce conflict between family members and increase collaboration and trust. By accommodating a range of abilities and technical confidence levels, the app will empower young people of various backgrounds to further their independence and lead more fulfilling lives.
“A great idea that will reassure and give confidence to those fearful of travel, provide immediate help at the right level if required and reduce the concerns of parents in a straightforward and uncomplicated way. Individuals will be able to plan ahead, build in circles of support, safe in the knowledge that the right people at a number of levels will be available to help if needed.”
Sir Hugh Orde OBE QPM, former police officer and President of the ACPO
“Blueplan will help young people think about the practical aspects of their trip, providing security of knowing help is at hand and parents confidence that even if they are not contacted their child can contact someone who will help.”
Graham Robb, former teacher and secondary school headteacher
“Blueplan is a real game changer for young people living with special needs. Its smart yet simple-to-use technology takes care of the user 24/7, enabling them to enjoy a fuller life with more freedom and independence. This round-the-clock safe-keeping also delivers vital peace of mind for carers and loved ones. This is a win-win for everyone.”
